Recovery Timeline
Days 1–7
Splint in place; swelling and bruising around the eyes peak at 48–72 hours. Rest with the head elevated.
Week 2
Splint and any external sutures removed. Most patients feel comfortable appearing in public; desk work resumes.
Weeks 3–6
Bruising resolves; light exercise resumes. The nose already looks presentable though internal swelling persists.
Months 3–12
Subtle swelling — especially at the tip — gradually settles. Final refinement is typically judged at one year.
