Overview
Upper and lower blepharoplasty removes or repositions excess skin and fat around the eyes, softening heaviness and under-eye bags. Done well, nobody knows you had surgery — they only notice you look well-rested.
The Ideal Candidate
- Hooded upper lids or persistent under-eye bags
- Vision unaffected by medical eye conditions
- Realistic expectations about scars (hidden in the lid crease)
- Non-smoker preferred for clean healing
Recovery Timeline
Days 1–5
Cool compresses; swelling and mild bruising peak early. Reading and screens are fine within days.
Week 1–2
Stitches removed around day 5–7. Most return to work within 10 days.
Weeks 3–6
Incisions fade from pink to barely visible; exercise resumes.
Month 3+
Final contour settled; scars continue to refine for up to a year.
